Ms. Collins' Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business during the fall semester, selling their handmade candles, body scrubs, ornaments, t-shirts, and zippered pouches. The students chose to support Unified Sports at MHS by donating $1,000 and contributed an additional $150 in microloans to aspiring entrepreneurs in Mali, Paraguay, and Togo through Kiva.org.
Since the project's inception, students have donated nearly $19,000 to local charities and organizations while also reinvesting funds to support future Entrepreneurship students in completing similar projects.

National History Day Competition
On Sunday March 16th, four Mansfield High School students attended the South Shore District History Day Competition at Foxboro High School. Massachusetts History Day is the state program for National History Day that strives to help students become better prepared and more knowledgeable citizens through the creation of historical projects. On Sunday, two entries were vying to advance to the state competition.
Each entry was based on historical research done by the students and must relate to this year's theme, which is Rights and Responsibilities. These students presented their work to the judges and were asked on-the-spot interview questions about their products. Students were assessed on their historical content, relation to theme, as well as the quality of their project.
In the Group Documentary category, Ben Hubbard, Aditya Sandhu, and Reyansh Srivastava competed with their project titled “Beyond the Lab: Breaches of Rights and a Lack of Responsibility for Unit 731.”
In the Individual Documentary category Britney Quan competed with her project titled “The Forgotten Holocaust: The Rape of Nanjing.” Britney’s project received a medal making her eligible to advance to the State Competition on April 12th at Winchester High School. Students who are successful at the state competition will represent Massachusetts at the National History Day Finals, June 8-13, at the University of Maryland.
Congratulations to everyone!
