Important Back to School Dates

On June 10, 2025, Superintendent Murphy hosted our annual Retirees Reception to honor our teachers and staff who are retiring at the end of the school year or early fall. Congratulations to everyone and THANK YOU for your many, many years supporting the students of Mansfield! We wish you all the very best!

Town of Mansfield Honors GSA Students On Thursday, June 5th the Mansfield Democratic Town Committee honored high school seniors Grace Kim and Emily Freeman at the raising of the PRIDE flag on the Mansfield South Common for their staunch and vocal advocacy in making Mansfield High School a more inclusive community. In addition to receiving a monetary award, both students spoke eloquently about the school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) , their own experiences, and the importance of acceptance. This well-deserved recognition acknowledges how these students have elevated the conversations around identity, empathy, and allyship in our school and community. Congratulations, Grace and Emily!

The high school Tri-M Music Honor Society has been selected by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) as the 2024-2025 State Tri-M Chapter of the Year for Massachusetts. Only one chapter per state gets awarded this honor each year. Congratulations to our high school music honor society students and advisors Ms. Colombo and Mr. DeJoy!

On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Murphy and MHS Principal Booth hosted the 3rd annual Future Teachers Signing Ceremony. To emphasize the importance of the teaching profession, a Future Teacher Signing ceremony for students from our Class of 2025 who intend to become educators is held every year. Events like these are more common when a high school student decides to play a particular sport at a particular college or university, but we want to call the same type of attention to future educators. Congratulations to Amy, Sophie, Caroline, Willian, Meghan, Jacob, Isaac, Jenna, Audrey, Annie, and John and THANK YOU to the many educators who attended this event to support our students.

The District Art Show is TONIGHT at Mansfield High School from 6-8 pm. Come support our students and enjoy beautiful art.

Registration for the 2025 Mansfield Summer Institute is underway. You'll find popular courses from past years including Kick Off to K, Step Up to 3rd Grade, and Jumpstart to 6th Grade. Inaugural Healthy Youth Summit Student representatives of the Mansfield Health & Wellness Advisory Council, Megan O'Neil, Abby Zukowski and Ava Redding attended the First Healthy Youth Summit hosted by the Healy-Driscoll Administration with school nurses Christine Harrison and Christine Dooling. The summit focused on building healthy relationships with peers, family, and community members, fostering personal growth by developing tools and the confidence to navigate relationship challenges in a healthy way, and how to become a positive community leader to guide others toward healthier relationships. Over 300 high schoolers attended and supported the launch of the Department of Health's RESPECTfully Campaign which focuses on platonic and romantic healthy relationships. The launch includes a new website with resources for youth to learn more about healthy relationships, signs for them to look out for, and how to talk about relationships with those they care about. https://www.mass.gov/respectfully
