Trainings and Workshops 

In-District Workshops and Trainings are held throughout the year by various trainers and administrators. Trainings and workshops that qualify for professional development points will be added by the District to the SMART PD staff website.

If an in-house workshop or training qualifies, staff will be given direction to register in SMART PD.  Staff who have registered will be awarded PDPs at its completion.

Workshops, Trainings & Conferences

Professional development held outside of the district is offered through various state and private organizations. They can be held during the school day, evening or on the weekends.  

Completion of these PD offerings can result in receiving PDPs directly from the organization or facilitator holding the offering. 

Staff must receive prior approval to attend an out-of-district PD held during the school day.

Professional development will enable educators to facilitate student achievement/growth by acquiring and applying knowledge, skills, and abilities that address the needs of all learners and the improvement goals of the district, school, and individual.
