
After an outstanding performance of The Yellow Boat by David Saar on Saturday, March 2nd at Norwood High School, the MHS student-directed production will advance to the semi-final round of the METG High School One-Act Play Festival at Joseph Case High School on Saturday, March 9th. Four groups were selected to move on to the next round of competition. Mansfield also won several awards, including:
Outstanding Light Design - Ryan Smith, Outstanding Direction - Zoey Roth & Ryan Smith, Outstanding Sound Design - Devnita Ray, Outstanding Acting Awards - Tyler Iovino, Keegan Connery, Brody Phillips & Marissa Sabella.
Six schools will perform at Joseph Case High School on Saturday. Each group will present a forty-minute one-act play, and two will be invited to participate in the final round in Boston the weekend of March 24th. Tickets for this Saturday’s event at Joseph Case High School in Swansea, MA, will be available at the door (cash only) for $15. The competition will begin at 9:15 am, and Mansfield will perform at 11:30 AM.
